Cohen has diarreah and a low grade fever. He had a tooth pop through a couple of days ago ( a molar I think, is that weird?), and I'm pretty sure he's working on at least one more. So do you think this is teething, or could it be a virus? My tummy isn't feeling all that great, either. He acts like he feels fine.
What is that bland diet that they say to give them?

Rice Cereal, Banana's, Applesause, Cheerios,

Could be teeth but with that age you just don't know.

Oh and pedilyte for the first 24hours ONLY then flat sprit, or gatoraid

If he had one molar come through he's probably got another on the way. Teeth always seem to come in pairs or groups.

I think you're thinking of the BRAT diet: bananas, rice applesauce and toast. That's what my mom used to give us when we were sick and we do the same with Ben.

Sounds like teeth to me!

Now his fever is 102.2. I'm so confused. Do they get that high of a fever w/ teething? And TMI, but I've had the Rhea, too. I just gave him some Tylenol and he's taking a second nap. He's still acting like he feels just fine. So do I HAVE to give him pedialyte even if he's drinking water? Or is that just if I can't keep anything down him?

I'm not really sure but if he's drinking water he might fine since that's keeping him hydrated. Giving him a bit of pedialyte won't cause any harm. Maybe you can dilute it or something :support:

A little bit of pedialyte may be good if he continues diarrhea, as it helps with electrolytes. But, if it's not that bad and he's eating and drinking okay, I wouldn't stress too much. The BRAT diet is often recommended, though any bland easy food should work.

Tyler had a fever with EVERY teething episode. Always. Not usually diarrhea though. I hope you both feel better!!

Thanks girls. Got Dh to buy the pedialyte and got a couple of glasses of it in him. Poor guy, he feels miserable. He's already in bed and was out immediately. I feel so bad for him!

It's probably a combo. The teeth can be crappy and so that may be most of it, but it may be a virus. He'll fight it off, but be prepared for more teeth. Like Elaine said, they come in groups!

Aww poor little guy! I hope you both start feeling better soon!
