Finally got my eyes examined yesterday. Astigmatism! That would explain the blurriness and the everyday headaches for the past couple years. At least it's nothing big, but I am SO EXCITED to get my glasses so I can finally see again . I have to wait until the 29th for them to come in though
I used to wear reading glasses but I don't think the prescription was ever quite right because they didn't really help with much of anything. It's going to be weird adjusting to wearing them all the time.

I'm glad you finally got an answer! I can't wait to see your glasses!!!
I've got an astigmatism in my right eye and have been wearing glasses since I was 16. The only thing I've ever noticed is that my depth perception can be a little off sometimes but that's about it. I've got contacts but I rarely wear them. I'm too lazy. :hehe:

WOOHOO! Glad you found a solution!
I have an astigmatism in my right eye. I figured it out because I kept running into the door frame only on my right side :roflol:

You laugh, but it's true! I even drove my car onto the curb when I was turning right a few times because I didn't have the depth perception. I just thought "Whoops" and kept driving

Glad you figured it out! I wear glasses every day! (for the past 20 years!)

I have this too...but hardly wear glasses. I get headaches from staring at a computer for hours then trying to drive home!

I wore glasses until I was 18, and moved to contacts! I love having my peripheral vision clear, and since my peripheral vision is really wide it drove me nuts wearing my glasses. :hehe:

I may get some contacts at some point, just to have for days when I really don't feel like wearing glasses.
I got a warranty on both pairs. I have two little ones... probably a good idea

The first time I wore my contacts I almost cried. :hehe: I hadn't had peripheral vision for about 15 years! Up until about 5 years ago it would have cost me a fortune to get them because of the astigmatism (they had to be specially made). Now it's so common it doesn't cost me any more than a regular set so I dove on the opportunity.

I should mention I've worn glasses since I was 13 and got contacts at 15. While in college I wore my contacts almost exclusively (meaning weeks at a time without taking them out) then when I got lupus my eyes started drying out and now I wear my glasses exclusively in the winter and contacts during the day in the summer so I can wear my sunglasses. I can't sleep in my contacts anymore and I really miss those days LOL. Kinda. Glasses are good at covering up dark under eye circles!

I hope this helps with the headaches! I like my cute glasses now but I much prefer my vision when I'm wearing my contacts. :hehe:
