Have you said anything where as soon as it crosses your lips you think "OMG I can't believe I said that!!!!"?

Um ya, ashamed as I am there have been a couple times I was so ticked at Dan that I said I didnt like him very much in front of the boys.
Should not have said negative in front of them about him. I always apologized though and pumped up their dad afterwards.

A friend was showing me pictures of her from high school and back then she was SUPER skinny, like bordering not healthy skinny. Well, she wasn't so thin when she was showing me the pictures and I said "OMG! That's YOU? You were so th..." then I stopped myself. She knew exactly what I was going to say and started cracking up and said "Yes, I was THIN back then". I tried to cover with "Tan" but ummmm yeah, that didn't go over so well!!

I say things every day I never thought I'd say
"Please don't feed the Teletubbies your spaghetti"
"Honey, get your hammer out of your peas"
"Cash, don't put Gordon's tender in Kitty's butt"
etc...
In terms of bad things, I gave Sean soooo much crap when I heard him say to Cash when he was fighting while trying to get him to clean up some blocks Cash had thrown at him "Stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about!" That is such a horrible expression and so something Sean's dad would have said to him. Sean admitted that he was horrified to hear it come out of his mouth. We do turn into our parents!

:hehe: These are great.
I don't know. I think at work, sometimes I say things that make me look around for my mom :hehe: I can't think of anything at the moment, though. My brain is fried.

Well, I do have a few phrases that I have said and use regularly because they were used so often in our house when I was growin up. Examples:
"Mom, I want ice cream" "Want in one hand and poop in the other hand then let me know which hand fills up faster!"
"You can find sympathy somwhere between sh*t and syphlis (sp?) in the dictionary because you won't get any from me!"
"I am changing my name to Sh*t so that every time you say it I can punish you!!"
Yup, not proud to say that I have used ALL of those more than once  The sympathy one is a perfect phrase for me though.

:hehe: Ashley! What would you have said?
I have one thing that I said to Dylan just recently when she mouthed off...I was resting on the couch and she was by the door.
"I wish I could grow my arms four more feet because then I'd slap you all ways but nice."
It wasn't a SERIOUS situation, but man, sometimes....:buttkick:

I say things all the time that I never thought I would.
"Because I said so." is probably the biggest "Omg I sound like my mother" statement. I always swore I wouldn't say that, that I'd give my kids a reason when I say no. But sometimes it's easier to just say "because I said so".
And there are things that have popped out of my mouth that actually embarrassed me. I wished immediately that I could grab them and stuff them back in my mouth. I know a couple, she's 23, he's 50. Not a big deal...except they were dating when she was 17 and he was 44. They got married as soon as she turned 18. They were visiting one time and she was going on and on about how he'd promised they'd have kids before they got married and now that they were married he changed his mind. (May I mention that he has a 28yr old daughter?) Before I could stop myself, out of my mouth comes "Well, by the time he's dead and gone, you'll still be young enough to have kids." OMG I thought I was going to die on the spot! I couldn't believe I'd actually said it out loud.
