new car seat

I went online to get new straps for Sam's car seat and saw an advertisement for Safety First's newest car seat, the Complete Air convertible car seat. It had a crash test demonstration...and I started crying, just contemplating an accident with Sam. I read a whole bunch of reviews, some technical and some anecdotal. I bought Sam a new car seat. Actually, first I called Doug sobbing and telling him that I know I'm crazy but I want that car seat. So, then I bought it.

On one hand, I hate manufacturers for playing on our fears to sell products. On the other hand, I am very...superstitious, and it's only my fault.

GAH. I am very, very fortunate to have enough income that we can suddenly drop $179 on a car seat because I'm emotional.

I try to stay away from those scary youtube vidoes of what could happen. Too much for me to handle. Glad you got a new carseat that will ease your mind.
