I think ya'll know we have 46 more days left in the Bat Cave. But, did you also know Jorja's birthday, Joe's Birthday, a comibined birhtday party for Jorja, Joe and Jasia and Father's Day falls into those 46 days. I'm also trying to organize a little dinner for Joe and some other friends.

My troubles are about gifts. I'm thinking a doll house for Jorja (kidkraft or something comparable) but then what do I get Jasia - her own dollhouse? a kitchen? Her own doll set with a stroller?

Big anxiety here. I think were also getting a backyard play thing upon relocation.

I'm so confused - and this is all swirling around with moving and decorating the new house and unpacking and crap, Jorja starts Kindergarten in August, and a school for Jasia.

I could very well breakdown.

Wow! That is a lot going on!
As far as the gifts....hmm, if the girls share toys pretty well I might get them different things. Like the dollhouse for Jorja, and the kitchen or something for Jasia.;)

Holy shiznit! That's crazy. Yeah, I agree to get them different things IF they share well. I know with my brother and me, we didn't share well and so I always wanted whatever he got. :p

ditto to the others.

If they share well then get them a dollhouse and accessories for it. If they don't maybe they can each get a dollhouse or something similar.

What if you got the dollhouse and the kitchen and tagged them for both the girls? Would that work or will it cause a fight? :p

First, :support: and

I think that the sharing idea is going to be a good idea. If they share well then one of each. If not I would get them their each type of doll. I remember my mom always got my sister and I dolls, but mine were always with blue or purple clothing and my sisters were always pink or yellow clothing/accessories. Maybe that'd work.

It's crazy I have to coordinate all this so far ahead of time solely for the purpose of MIL. Last year I took back nearly $150 in junk to the Disney Store and I'm really trying to avoid that again this year. I'm still on the fence about the kitchen. We had two (plastic ones) and they hardly played with them but I have a friend who swears the wood kitchens have some sort of different aura and they'll love it.

I.just.don't.know.

Liam and James both loved the wood kitchens in school. The mom bought them this fancy smancy wood kitchen set with sink and refrigerator and all this neat food...they never touched it  Well once in awhile they played with it but it became a good place to shove extra toys in.

I'm sorry you have so much going on! :hug:Your plate is past full!

As for the gifts, I dunno if you think they won't play with the kitchen, I don't know if I'd buy it. Is there something else you could get? Maybe a little outdoor toy or something? like a bouncy house, ball pit, little sprinkler or pool or something?

Wow, you have quite a bit going on!! I know how hectic it is to move, but at least you'll be outta there! I would probably get them each something different, again if they play well together. I know my sister always wanted to play with what I had, but would get mad if we had the same thing (yes, she was a brat!!) Similar but different is my suggestion!

Okay here's the update. Jorja is getting a dollhouse (wooden). She's been asking for one forever and she's already got a kicken' bike. Jasia is getting some sort of baby doll with accessories (high chair, cradle) - Jorja has never palyed with baby dolls and Jasia carries them around, puts them to sleep, feeds them. This way MIL can get furniture for Jorja and doll outfits/accessories for Jasia.

If the kitchen is still an issue, we'll address it at Christmasbut I"m already convinced on a glider bike for Jasia. We'll see. And, we're alos getting a backyard wooden climby thing that we've promised to them for a while through all this moving stuff. Now Joe, well he's just going to have to wait until after we move.

Now on to party plans.

That sounds like a good idea. That way they get something they'd like, but you can see how it goes. So, what do you have to do for party planning? How many people? How long before the move??

Blah, we're having the party at a water park. maybe 15-20 kids (not sure on this, jorja wants to invite her whole class and if you invite 25 how many actually come, on Father's Day weekend?). Ive got to get three cakes, food, a pinata, and maybe balloons? Not sure on the balloons.

43 days to move.

Wow! That's a ton. Father's Day weekend probably won't make much of a difference, I imagine.
