What do I do?

Evan has been running a fever of 102 for 4 days now. He has the runs but that is about it. I took him to the doctor on thursday and she found nothing wrong with him. Should i take him back? I'm really worried about him. I just hope there is really nothing wrong..

Fever are normal. He's probably fighting off something. How old is he? If he's a newborn, I'd take him back, otherwise I'd wait a week.

ETA: Normal in the sense that, they wont kill him and his body is doing what it's supposed to do. Just wanted to clarify what I meant.

He is 13 months old. I have just never had a little one do this.

If he has the fever still on Monday, I'd take him back in.

Just make sure you're keeping him hydrated and comfortable. Aidan just had a fever for 3 days...we just watched it and kept her suckin down the water and juice.

How does he act? Is he still playing and acting fairly normal? If he is then I'd probably just give him pedialite and water, Motrin or Tylenol and wait it out a couple more days. If it's still not better, then give that dr. a call back. ;) Sorry he's sick! :support:

Is he working on getting new teeth? That's when Addie usually kept a fever an her poop was more liquidy then too.

We've had fevers last upward of 3-5 days. Sometimes those viruses can be pesky and stubborn! I agree with the rest to just keep him hydrated and keep an eye on him for any othe symptoms. :support:

The one time Cohen ran a fever for 6 days he had an ear infection that just wouldn't go away. I would just watch it over the weekend and if it's still there on Mon. I'd take him back.
