Anyone still worried??

I thought this whole swine flu outbreak thing had finished...I guess not because they found a bunch more cases in Queens near my mom.

Now I went to walgreens today to buy diapers because walgreens brand rocks and they are cheap...I digress...I saw them selling those masks you can wear to protect yourself :confused:

Have you seen anyone wear them? I thought only in Mexico and China they were going that far???

Oh and there was 1 outbreak in CT.

I'm not nervous about it. Never really was worried. I refuse to freak out over something unless I see it with my own eyes. I haven't seen anyone wearing any masks, but I haven't been out walking in areas with a ton of people either :idontknow:

I think that with time people will calm down....the media just freaks everyone out!

Actually there have been quite a few cases here in Huntsville. A friend of mine here apparently got it. (I use the term 'friend' loosely) And when Cohen was sick this week, his doctor thought he might have it.

As far as freaking out about it, not any more than I would w/ any type of flu virus. Which I probably would freak out about the flu either way. :D

I started to freak out because I was reading and hearing so much about it. I was actually paranoid in stores. :eyeroll: But I haven't been lately. They actually have had their first breakout in MS recently. I haven't seen people wearing masks but stores have been out of hand sanitizer like mad!

I'm not really worried about it. I am kind of a freak about germs and people getting too close to me anyway, so I just keep doing what I normally do, hand sanitizer when we get in the car from being out, and wash hands as soon as we get home.

I have seen a couple people with those white masks on though.

I haven't been paying too much attention to it. Perhaps it's because we haven't had any issues around here, but it always seems to be something, so why drive myself crazy?

All I keep thinking is this better not be a big deal. The media has blown so many things so horribly out of proportion that people have stopped paying attention. When the 'big one' does come along people will see it as another case of the media digging for ratings.

I too think the Media has blown this way out, even though I work for media!! LOL:p But I am a germ freak anyways and wash my hands a million times a days.
