I think Cash is officially potty trained!
Friday morning April 9th, which was his first day going out in big boy underwear. He had an accident at a playdate after about an hour and a half and one pee, he just got carried away playing and forgot. I put him in a pull up until we got home. Since then, he has not had on a pull or diaper except overnight. He did have one accident a few days ago, but that's it.
Today we went out to Pier Park which is a big outdoor mall with a kiddie amusement park and restaurants, etc... I really considered putting him in a pull up, since there's not always a nearby restroom, there would be lots of walking and time he'd be on rides, etc... but I decided to be brave and continue as we have been.
He did so great! We were out for a little over 4 hours, ate in a restaurant, rode rides, walked a good long way to Old Navy & back, and got milkshakes at Marble Slab. Every time we were near a bathroom I'd take him, whether he said he had to go or not. I kept reminding him not to pee on Nemo (he had on his Nemo undies) and he'd say he wouldn't. He peed in the toilet 4 times and had no accidents at all.
That said, he does try to wait until bedtime to poop so he doesn't have to go in the toilet! But he couldn't hold out last night & had to. He still hates it & cries about it, but it's progress and I don't worry that he's going to go in his underwear, the kid knows how to hang on to his poop like nothing I've ever seen. I figure a few more times of not being able to make it to bedtime and having no choice but the toilet and he'll stop feeling scared about it.
I really didn't think we were going to get done before the baby came, but here we are!!!!!
