I think I figured out why my child is anti-food

We were shopping at Stews (a local supermarket) and they always have free samples of store made items (they make a lot of their own food they sell and they have their own farm with animals--which is what makes the store so popular).

Anyway, I got a sample of the Chicken Chili and I gave some to Matt thinking he would just spit it out like everything else. Nope. He devoured the little sampling. So I bought a container thinking hey, why not?

The last couple of days he has been eating the Chicken Chili for lunch and dinner! I think my child hates bland food. I was always making his dishes very very bland with little to no seasoning at all. So now I am going to just go all out and put everything I find in it.

The chili is mildly spicy and has a strong cilantro taste and cumin. My little foodie :lovey:

Dylan love spicy things, the other day we had jalapeno poppers and they were hot for me and he made a small face and went back to eating the one he stole from me (he doesn't usually eat those) those are usually mom and dad treat when the kids go to bed.
Well, now you know what to do.

I was the same way. I was afraid to put any spices or anything in Addie's food, but she prefers strong tastes. (pickles and lemons too!)

William too!! I was leaving out the spices on foods and then at my moms she made spicy chili and he LOVED it!
He loves spaghetti sauce and anything with lots of flavour and herbs...it was just the spiciness I didn't think he'd like!

Sara is big on spices and thank goodness because that is the only way I cook. To my surprise she likes food a bit on the spicy side, thats the Persian in her coming out. :hehe: Once I got her started on regular foods she was eating like a little piggy.

Nathaniel is also one that loves spicy food. At the local mexican place they have spicy cheese and he LOVES it!!

Alice is the same way. Garlic being her favorite. Put it in anything and she'll eat it.
