Sick little girl

It appears that Averie has caught my nasty stomach bug I had last week. :(

As if yesterday wasn't bad enough (way too long to go into the WHOLE story) Kevin was sick with the same symptoms I had earlier in the week; diarrhea, stomach cramps, dehydration, body aches and headache. Poor guy was feeling like that while I was at the ER ALL.DAY! Well, unfortunately for Averie it appears all that bonding time with daddy came with a price. Tonight she's been cranky, tensing her stomach and keeps bending over. The diarrhea has been so bad that it soaks right into her diaper but she's getting a rash. Poor little girl! And now I feel guilty for "giving" it to my family!

I really, really, really hope our week gets better soon!!

Aww, Sandy. I'm sorry. Averie must feel really bad. :(

Emily suggested that I put Sam in a bath with baking soda when he had non-stop diarhea for a week back in January. His little bottom was so red and irritated. It really helped. And I think Tes or someone told me about putting monistat cream in a thin layer under the desitin to help heal the skin back there.

Great news! She got up in a fantastic mood and the desitin cleared up her diaper rash overnight! Maybe, just maybe, today will be a better day!! :))
