At What Age?

When do you think I can put Chandler in a pool? Can he wear sunscreen yet? For some reason, I think we had to wait until Rylee was 6 months before putting sunscreen on her, but I can't remember. My parents have a pool, and I am dieing to bring Chandler in with me for a little bit.

From what I've read it says to wait to use sunscreen until 6 months. I would maybe get him one of those swim shirts so that his shoulders are covered and a hat. I read awhile ago that babies shouldn't be in direct sunlight for more than 15 at a time even with sunscreen.

But I would ask your pedi, and see what they say.

He can go swimming. Our doctor encouraged it as soon as the stump fell off. And yes, no sunblock until six months so I'd go earlier in the morning and/or later in the afternoon.

Yep. I've always heard no sunblock until 6 months also. But you can always get him those baby floats that have covers on then. Or like Jenni said, go in the morning time.

I would think it would be okay for a quick dip, especially in off hours. We've dipped Lily's feet in the gulf a few times, we just keep her under the canopy most of the time :)

I too would just get him one of the swimmer shirts and a cute hat. Old Navy has some cute ones right now. Hope he has fun! And take pics!! ;)
