In Thomas's 4 short weeks I've learned a few things I thought I'd share. (These are random thoughts that usually come to me at 3 am. :hehe:)
While you can function on 2 hours of sleep (completely incoherently and it sucks) it's amazing how much better you feel after 5 or 6 hours of sleep even if those 5 or 6 hours are broken up into 2 'sleeps'.
Baby number 2 cries more than Baby number 1. Not because they're fussier but because you can't drop everything and run to pick them up. There are times when they're just going to have to cry for a few minutes like when I'm making Baby number 1's breakfast or tucking them in for a nap.
A hairdryer drastically reduces the risk of a baby boy peeing on you at every diaper change. Just aim that sucker (on low heat) at his little guy to keep it warm and no pee.
Getting dressed is a BIG accomplishment.
Getting to take a shower during the day is an even bigger accomplishment.
CBC Kids, PBS and Treehouse are my 3 best friends.
PVR's are one of the greatest inventions ever.
A laptop at 2 am is a lifesaver but typing with one hand sucks.
The laundry is never, ever done (Sandy, I don't know how you do it).
