Saw my doc today who thinks we can continue treating at home. He's having me poke a sterile q tip in the open area to keep it open and draining, draining is good. He said to take 2-3 hot soaks a day also. Follow up next week unless it gets worse. Continue antibiotics. The left side of the insicion is healing fine, this is on the right side. Even though I'm a nurse, I find it a little freaky for me to probe a q tip into my own wound!!! lol YUCK! but it's better than more surgery!
Anywho, that's the update for now. Thanks for all ur prayers, keep them coming.

Yay for still treating it at home. :hula: Hopefully it drains completely and will finally heal.

That's great! Not great that you have to treat it but great that you don't have to have it opened up!

Glad you can take care of it on your own! I'm sorry you have to do all that though. Hopefully it heals quickly!:support:
:hugs:
Glad to hear they don't have to open you up again. I think Rebekah had some problems after her c-section. Maybe PM her :support:
I'm glad you can treat it at home... it's always so frustrating having to pack up all the bags and kids to go to an appointment for things like these...
my incision took a while to heal, in fact it drained as well, a small opening about the size of a pinky fingernail kept open. From surgery to being completely healed took about 8 weeks. I had developed a keloid on the spot where the incision had kept draining, so I have to go back in another week to have it looked at again.
