What was the biggest adjustment for you post-partum?

Dealing with crazy ILs. It was as if me being pregnant enhanced their craziness to the nth degree!

Being so out of shape! I seriously feel like I am never going to get in shape again. :dead:

Dealing with my life being flipped upside down and the lack of sleep. I was older when I had Ben and pretty set in my ways so having a baby threw me right off keester. I knew it was coming but it didn't make it any easier. I guess in a way knowing what I was in for was better because I wasn't blind-sided but it was still tough.

The lack of sleep for sure. Especially since Conner thought when the sun went down it was time to be up!

And the extreme body changes. Ugh.

Sex being weird and unpleasant...I feel like a newb.

Sex wasn't fun for about a year after I had him. Maybe longer. Now it's back to normal. I heard it's because BFing makes it dry and not so fun down there?

These enormous boobs. Seriously, these things are out.of.control and it's SO hard to find shirts and bras :eyeroll:

I am also adjusting to having 5 kids that are all in very different phases of life right now. One going into high school while another is graduating to size 2 diapers; one about to go through puberty while another is still playing dress-up and coloring books. It's crazy in our house.

And, of course, the lack of sleep. My little princess STILL doesn't sleep more than a couple hours at a time throughout the night. It's definitely taking me time to adjust to only napping rather than sleeping.

Wish I could say the sex has been weird but the fact that I still can't even try has been hard. I still haven't healed from the tears I got from delivery 2-15-09. I STILL can't exercise, swim in clorine, take a bath with anything other than just plan old water, well and can't have sex...That had been very hard...

Can't say I totally know how you feel but it still hurts when we try (by trying I mean like 1x since the birth of my son.) Not even lube really helps.
