DH and I started doing the No Cry Sleep Solution with William about 3 weeks ago. While it is a long slow process we are already seeing great results. It's so bittersweet though. We went from him co-sleeping almost all night (Momma was lazy), having a very short sleep routine, no real daytime schedule and having to nurse him to sleep ALL.THE.TIME to now. Now we have a daytime schedule (roughly), he's sleeping in his crib all night, having a set routine for bed, and he will go to sleep in the crib.

It's almost bittersweet! While I really did get tired of him having to be nursed all the time I kinda miss him falling asleep in my arms. I keep telling myself it's for the best though and I really do believe that. But tonight it was a little rough putting him to bed. Mostly for me. He was fussy and kept wiggling in my arms so I laid him in the crib completely wide-eyed and he pushed my hand away and went to sleep on his.

I'm proud of him! (but I miss my snuggly baby)

Awwww, he's growing up!

I know what you mean when they suddenly grow on their own. Don't worry though, he'll always be your baby boy.

Awww.... Farah is right. He'll always be your little boy! :support: I'm glad the transition to his crib is going well!

I absolutely love my independent little boy. He is so much fun now, even with the tantrums, and I can't wait to see the new things he learns every day.

I know he will always be my baby but it suddenly hits you when they reach a milestone how big they are getting. I can't believe he's over 6 months now. He's napping on his pillow bed on the floor right now and I can't believe how big he looks on it. *sigh* I love that he's getting so big because he is getting to be so much fun too. I just kinda miss the little baby that fit so well in my arms.

Awww. Well I am glad it's working and that he is doing so great! It is sad when those things end. Conner stopped being snuggley really early on and you do miss it.

Michelle, I was watching a video from when Charlie was 6 months old and I teared up because I can't believe he was so cute and squishy. Now he's a fireball of energy!

:bluehug: I know exactly what you mean! Tyler is 3 1/2, and I still freak out about how fast he grew! And Lily, with all her movement and rolling, it makes me crazy. I can't believe she's 3 1/2 months already-- where does the time go??
