I'm three weeks post-partum and still having lots of pain in my pubic bone. Anyone else experience this with their second (or more) pregnancy? Some days it is actually still waking me up at night with a constant dull ache which is very uncomfortabe. I don't remember this from my post-partum with Duncan...

I still have tailbone pain from when I was pregnant with Averie. She was my 4th and I never had that problem with the others but still had the problem post partum for a while. It did get better after a while but is back full force now that I am pregnant again.
:hugs:
I have no clue! I would say your body still needs to heal. My episiotomy was still sore for a bit after having Matt :support:
I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I had a lot of pelvic pain during the last 2 months of my pregnancy, but not after... it was so bad I couldn't lift my knees enough to climb a set of stairs at times. I think you may just need more time to heal. Take it easy and rest, put your feet up. Try not to push yourself too much. If at or after your six week appointment you're still feeling uncomfortable, definitely say something.

Patty, I came looking for this thread this morning because for the last 3 nights guess what has woken me up??? Horrible pubic bone pain. I definitely didn't have this after Cash. I don't have it during the day, it seems like it only strikes after I have been laying down for a while. Then it hurts like a freakin' beast when I stand up and eventually dissipates.
Anyhow, I was wondering if you have found anything more out about yours

I wonder if it's from lifting. Since this is your #2 are lifting DS? May take a bit longer to heal if you are doing more since you are now caring for 2 LOs. I know my recovery is definately taking longer this time around. Hope you're feeling better soon!

I have actually been sleeping in the couch. For some reason, it doesn't both me when I sleep there... weird. When I sleep in my bed, I have been side nursing and I was thinking maybe that was making it worse.
As far as picking up Duncan, I actually was not even allowed to pick him up at all for three weeks, not even to put him on the toilet. I think its all related to the pubic bone separating and needing to return to normal or something like that... not sure. I may try to sleep in bed again this week. We'll see how that goes...

Your body goes through a huge adjustment when you're pregnant and especially thorugh delivery. Have you thought about getting adjusted by a chiro? Just to get everything back in its original place?

Are you co-sleeping when you sleep in the bed? Mine seems to flare up only when I sleep in the same position for a long time and with Daisy in bed with me, obviously when I do sleep I don't move. I usually get my "big" chunk of sleep from 3ish-6ish and that's when I wake up hurting rrrrreally bad.
I found a million posts like this online
Every morning I wake up feeling like someone just punched my pubic bone! The whole area feels sore and bruised for a couple of hours and then it goes away...I am already 11 weeks postpartum...has anyone experienced this? It truly feels like a bruise on my front side of my vag., which I'm guessing is my pubic bone? I've put up with it for a while but now it's just annoying and uncomfortable...
I am thinking about calling my doctor today just to see what they say.

Yep, I am co-sleeping, and I notice the pain most when I fall asleep nursing. I think not moving is definitely the cause. I think I need to call the chiro! Sleeping on the couch is making my back hurt!
