I know someone posted about these diapers, but has anyone seen the commercial?? It has this baby walking around a pool being checked out by everyone like he's hot stuff. The baby is talking/thinking in this "sexy" voice as he walks. There's also a line in there that says "While I'm taking number two, I look like number one!"
The tag line is "The coolest you'll look pooping your pants."
It's kinda funny, but I'm not sure I like it. I'll see if I can find the video when I get on my computer.
Thoughts?

Exactly my thought. My instinct was to laugh, but when I heard the background voice and comments I was annoyed.

I agree, stop sexualizing children.
I coulldn't find my 9 year old a bathing suit that wasn't a small version of some cheap/****ty Victoria's Secret knock off at Target this year! Apparently I am the only mother that shops our local Target that is NOT ok with my 9 year old wearing a traingle-top string bikini
Sorry, side rant there!!

OMG! Sandy! We have the same issues.
I finally found one that WASN'T low cut.
So sad. I hate it.
I agree...totally weird, wrong and creepy! oh, and besides all that "jean dispossables?" just dumb really!

I agree with the not sexualizing kids. It's sick these days.
I was never like that, my mom alwys made sure I was respectable.

I agree with you all.
I grew up being told to cover up my body, that it wasn't for others to see. I now teach my girls the same thing.
Sandy, I too, have a hard time finding bathing suits for the girls that are triangle sting bikinis. I started a thread about this on "that other board" in the rant section about not being able to find decent ones. It of course, turned into a big debate because most said they were okay.

What that?! :wha: How is that appropriate for a freaking BABY diaper? That's just insane. If I would ever buy something like that, after I seen that I would NOT even give them the satisfaction of having my business. That's gross.

I love this.

I even hate when my baby hugs a baby boy and everyone says, "OOH She likes younger/older/cute boys already!"
No. She's a baby. She likes to hug. Stop making her grow up.

"I poo in blue." :hehe:
I'll admit that the idea is kind of neat (my DH says it's so kids can go in diapers with no pants and people won't know it) but the marketing doesn't do a thing for me and I can only assume it's turning a lot of people away. It's a kid in diapers. Not 'sexy' at all.

Yeah! I don't mind 2 pieces because they are way more convenient when it comes to changing and going to the bathroom at the beach/pool, but I don't need a string bikini, thanks.

Lame. I don't need to pay extra for a jean looking diaper. Seriously weird. I'd rather have my kids wear the clothes I buy them anyhow.

Not to be flip, because I totally agree, but when I read your sentence I thought "would it be appropriate for an ADULT diaper?" and pictured the same ad with an old guy, which gave me the giggles so bad I woke up Daisy :hehe:

Ok, the commercial grossed me out. :hehe: All I kept thinking about was the thought of this kid walking around with crap in that diaper and that someone needs to change him. :hehe: And someone please tell me what kid walks around in just a diaper. :wtf: These diapers are pointless and I agree with the rest of you, no need to sexualize a diaper commercial.

While I think the diapers themselves are kind of cute, the marketing is beyond tasteless.

:roflol: They'd have a walker and as he smiles his teeth fall out! Omg if I had time and access to old people we really could do a spoof.

:hysterical: I guarantee if you did something like that and placed it on youtube you would be getting hits left and right.

The commercial is stupid, yeah. And for the record...I bought some of the diapers, and they aren't as cute as they look on TV.

:ditto: I did laugh a bit at the "diaper full of sheet."

My MiL saw this on tv today and with no comment from me she was like "That is absolutely DISGUSTING. And they wonder why people prey on children?"
