Diaper Bags

What's in yours? What kind do you have? Do you have a preference? How many do you own? Discuss!

With Emily, I'm using the same diaper bag I had with Belle. It's actually a great bag that the hospital had given us with all the samples and things new parents get. It's a plane black bag in a duffel bag style. It has two pockets on the ends for bottles, one pocket on one side, and three on the other...Inside it has a zipper pouch. In the bag I keep, a bottle of formula, just in case we are somewhere that is not suitable for nursing on the spot. It has 8 diapers, wipes, Balmex, a bulb syringe, two onesies, a pair of booties, and a pair of pants. Now that it's summer, it'll have the Deet free Bug spray from Avon, and our Coppertone SPF 50 sunscreen for the girls.

My preference? Well, I'm picky.. I'll look at color and how many pockets, as well as the size. If I get a new one I think I might go one of a neutral color and in a messenger bag style so it's easier for me and Joe to carry it. Right now I only have the one diaper bag...

However.. don't ask me to name the number of purses I own...cause there is more than I can count on one hand....In my defense I can honestly say that I can partially blame my husband, since most of the bags have been gifts...:hehe:

Just one giant skip hop bag that I love. Lots of pockets and room. The only problem is I'd love to get a backpack style bag and found one at Land's End. The price (40bux) kills me though but I might splurge and get it. I also like the Bjorn one but it's really really pricey and I lost a bidding war on ebay for it by 1 dollar!!

Our diaper bag has moved to a little book bag that Nathaniel can carry. Right now it has a few diapers, wipes, an outfit, and sunglasses.

I have a diaper bag I bought for cheap at Walmart a long time ago LOL. Only one I have.
I did used to have 3 but only ever used one so I got rid of two of them LOL.
I keep a couple diapers in them and a baggie of wipes. I also keep sunscreen lotion in there in case we are at a park or pool and they need it on.

Generally(not always but I try)to keep a snack in there. Like fruit bags or rice krispie treat type things.

I've never found one that I love..

I carry a bag for Conner that we got going through a class on base. It says "Baby's first Seabag" on it. I usually have a change of clothes, diapers and wipes in there. Sometimes snacks, sunscreen and drinks.

I have a green one from carter's that is pretty big...It has a couple diapers, wipes, an extra set of clothes, sunscreen, tylenol, bandaids, and that's it...I think :hehe:

I am diaper bag FREE! For the time being lol. Come December I'll be toting one again ~ this time I totally want a purse/diaper bag.

We were diaper bag free for a while but now we're back to using one. When I remember to take it with us. :blush:

We have two. One fairly big one made by Columbia and another small, cheapy that we got at Zellers. We use the big one when we go somewhere for a while, like my mom's for the day and use the small one for typical outings to the store and such. The small one has diapers, wipes, bum cream and a change of clothes for Thomas. The big one has diapers, wipes, bum cream, breast pads (for me :hehe:), a change of clothes for both boys, some baby cloths and a receiving blanket to use when changing baby.

I'm mostly diaper bag free, but I keep some diapers in the trunk just in case. When we go somewhere for a long period of time, I've got a small Skip Hop bag that I just put wipes and dipes in.

You know, I loved my free Similac bag from the hospital. I threw it out because it got torn on the front and looked ghetto. Can't wait to see what they give out come September! :hehe:
