For those that are breastfeeding and are a few months post pardum like myself, have you seen a lot of hair loss or shedding?

I don't remember the hair loss/shedding being this bad after Belle was born... But this time around it's horrible! I had a total TMI moment this morning in the shower when I noticed the drained was clogged...water around my ankles.... because of so much hair!!! :sigh: :wtf:

I didn't lose any hair PP with my son, but I thought it was because my hair didn't really get thicker when I was pregnant. Then I night weaned him when he was 16 months and OMG I thought I was going to go bald!!!! It was falling out in hunks, it was scary. Thankfully, I have enough hair for 3 people so it wasn't noticeable and it stopped after about 4 weeks, but it was really bad for that time period!

I had really bad pp hair loss with Isabella. And it lasted awhile too, I want to say the better part of a year. My hair was just finally starting to come back around and I got pregnant again haha.

I have super fine hair and it's especially thin at the top (gets thicker through the shaft) so I really can't afford to lose anymore

My hair dresser suggested I use Nioxin which is for thinning/hair loss when I was losing all my hair PP. Might be worth looking into. I got mine at Ulta.

I just posted in the PP subforum about this! LOL. Mine started falling out (especially noticeable after I get out of the shower and comb my hair) about 10 weeks PP and I am also exclusively breastfeeding. This happened with my son too, but I don't remember how long it lasted. It sucks but at least it's not like, coming out from the top or anything, just lots of strands here and there.

Mine falls out bad because of my Thyroid disorder. I don't know what it would be like normally. I know that mine clogs my drains up and it's all over the bed and stuff. Maybe mention it to your doctor if it persists.

My husband always jokes that I should have bought stocks in drain-o. It's the ONLY thing that works for our clogged drains. As much as I avoid anything that is not all natural, sometimes you need to bring out the big guns :p

Hey girls, I use something similar to this for the tub drain. It just suctions right over the drain.

I found mine at the grocery store, but I'm sure any department store has something like this. It works great, you just clean it off when you are done.
Although, every time I shower and clean out the hair from the trap...I am amazed at how much hair I lose.
