Every day I am so happy that I never have to think "next time..." about dealing with a baby. Her growing and developing is not bittersweet to me at all, it is 100% sweet. I love her with all my heart but I am not going to miss the floppy newborn stage, and am so looking forward to her getting older and more able to interact with us.

I am just so relieved that I have two great kids, I made it through two pregnancies, had two easy labours, two healthy full-term babies and that I am making it through this newborn stage with a minimum of stress. And when it's over, I never have to do it again!

People keep saying I am going to change my mind once she gets bigger, but they are so wrong! I never for a moment missed Cash's infant stage, I actually don't miss any point in Cash's past, the older he gets the more I enjoy him. And I am sure the same will apply to Daisy. I never did have baby fever for #2, I just wanted a second baby as a means to an end so I could have a second child.

She is an awfully cute baby though

At night when I look in their doors at both of them sleeping, I am just overflowing with joy that we're all here now & my family is complete :hula:

I'm glad I'll never be pregnant again :thumb:

I'm glad Dylan is growing up nicely :thumb:

But I wish I could double the time with Aidan right now  Just yesterday DH said he wishes he could keep her little for a couple more years :lovey:

But yea, everything else-- I'm glad to be done too!

That's awesome! I wish I was there, but I'm just not yet. I mean I could do without the being pregnant and newborn stage again, but I just don't feel my family is complete yet.

That's where we are, too! I keep thinking that when they are both more independent, we can go shopping as a family, holding hands rather than stuffing them into a shopping cart and fighting to keep them in there. :hehe:

DH and I can't wait for the boys to be old enough to enjoy all the cool things! :D :hehe:

Glad you are happy with your decision and are enjoying it all.

Once I knew our family was complete Ive had no go backs or sense of loss or any of the emotions everyone warned me Id have. Im grateful to have had the 3 pregnancies, 3 healthy boys and all that. Im also very happy to be done with the infant stage and am enjoying the raising them stage.

:hula: That is a wonderful feeling. I think I'll feel that way after the next one. I don't enjoy pregnancy in the first place and all the recent drama only makes it worse and confirms for me that one more and we will be done. Talon is getting to be so much fun and I am enjoying him more and more. Part of me misses the little cuddly baby, but he is so much more fun now. ;)

Yeah, I was like this all through my pregnancy too, constantly thinking "Once this is over, I never have to do it again!" and I am feeling that way doubly so with the whole infant stage! I am just happy we're all healthy and here!

I bet that's a great feeling! I'm looking forward to it. I just hope that i'll feel that way too if I never get a girl. I think that desire makes my desire for another even stronger.

How beautiful, Lily!

Although, I have to say: every time I see a "Calvin Klein" shirt, I remember Back to the Future...and I want to call Daisy "Calvin" HAAA

Yeah, that probably does make a difference, I think it helped that I truly didn't care. I know I would have felt the same either way because when they first flipped on the u/s machine, before the image resolved, I thought I saw a scrotum and felt thrilled, excited and a tiny bit disappointed that I'd never had a girl. And when the u/s tech moved the wand and said "Well that's a girl if I ever saw one!" I was amazed, thrilled, excited, and a tiny bit disappointed that I wasn't going to have my two boys. So I'm sure either way, I would still be feeling this happy sense of completion now. It is very satisfying, I hope you get there someday!
