Fever

It is currently 5:00 in the morning. I have been up with Averie since about 4:00. Kevin was up with her until about 1:00. He thought she felt warm but didn't want to distrub me so just put her back to sleep. Our temporal thermometer is broken as of yesterday when apparently Alexis was playing with it and somehow got it completely soaking wet :sigh:

I took Averie's temp and axillary (armpit) is 102.3 :( I don't have any Tylenol (due to the recall) and she's currently puking/dry heaving so wouldn't hold any down at the moment anyway.

Know what amazes me though? When your little one wakes up sick in the middle of the night your adrenaline kicks in and you're INSTANTLY awake but when they just wake up for no apparent reason you're a total zombie. Nature's way of looking out I suppose.

She doesn't "allow" me to take her temperature in her armpit willingly so I am going by feel at this point. It seems that her fever is lower now. I am stuck on the contraction monitor for an hour and she's cuddling with her daddy right now. It came out of nowhere and I hope whatever it is that she's got going on leaves just as quickly!
