Eden update *Appt update in OP*
.We're STILL battling thrush. I don't know what else to do. We've both been on Diflucan for a while now. I wash all of our stuff in hot water daily, sterilize her pacis daily, we're both taking a pro-biotic, etc. etc. It doesn't really bother either of us, so I guess it's more of a nuisance than anything. She is now sleep trained and on a semi-schedule. I know most don't agree with sleep training so young, but I'm telling you, it's the way to go. Once I had her on the schedule and know her sleepy cues, I put her down and she's cried at most 5 minutes and gone to sleep. And it's just a fussy cry, if she starts doing a real cry I just get her back up and try something different. I put her down awake after nursing her around 8:00pm, and then I'll do a dreamfeed when I go to bed (last night it was at 10:00pm). She's slept 8-10 hours the past 5 nights! She started stirring around 6:00am this morning, so I just went ahead and got her up and fed her since I was already awake. It's glorious! She had been getting up around 2:00-4:00am to eat for a few weeks, and I don't really mind that at all if she happens to go back to that. She would eat and just go right back down. She's really been such an easy baby. I'll update after her well check today. I can't wait to see how much she's grown! *Appt Update* Well she looks great! She weighed 11 lbs 3 oz (75%) and was 23 and some odd inches (90%) with a tiny head circumference in the 50%. Doc looked at her tongue and said she thinks the white stuff is just milk now! Which made me and because I swear it looked no different than when she diagnosed the thrush at her two week appt AND I was still having slight nipple pain that I figured was thrush. I'm going to treat us for another week and be done with it until it comes back. I'm so DONE with giving this poor kid meds! Speaking of which, the doc adjusted her Zantac while we were there too since she's grown a little. I haven't given it to her since that morning, though. I had questioned whether she really needed it because while it did seem to work, it worked so fast (like the day I started it) that I questioned if it could even be the meds. So far, so good. She doesn't spit up nearly as much as she did her first 6 weeks of life, and she's in good spirits so I think we're good.Had her shots and poor baby screamed the whole time, and she was a little fussy the rest of the day but nothing serious. Aw, I'm so glad she's an easy going baby! How you know you have thrush if nothing is bothering you?

I never tried Diflucan but we were on Nystatin for quite a bit. The only thing that actually cleared it up was gentian violet -painted on my nipples and all inside his mouth. It worked wonderfully. You can get it from Walgreens type stores for about $3/bottle without a prescription if you want to try it out. Just be careful with it because anything that comes into contact with it will be dyed purple!
Good luck! Thrush sucks!!

Anthony's tongue and inside of his lips and cheeks were all white. I didn't feel any pain until after I started treating myself to get rid of it. He never seemed bothered by it at all.

Exactly Eve. I never felt anything until I started using the Diflucan. I stopped treating us both thinking we'd gotten rid of it, and my nipples starting itching again, and Eden's tongue looked hairy again. IKve never been able to wipe the white stuff off of her tongue, and the doc said it would look hairy if it was still thrush. She's the one who diagnosed it at her 2 week appt. I've been tempted to try the genetian violet but just haven't yet. Guess I should.
