Answer's MIR Address?

This is an odd question, but I'm super curious.

Today when I bought my answer tests, I got the box with the $7 MIR. So, I was filling out the paper work and noticed that the address for the MIR is a local address - a PObox.

Does anyone else use them and have you ever noticed what the address is? I found it so random and odd. We're a small town, why in the world would they use a local address?

If I knew what a "MIR" was, I may be able to help you more.

I wasn't able to find Answer's specific rebate center's address, but I found this for Arm and Hammer and they are made by the same parent company:

CMS Rebate Center ATTN: ARM & HAMMERŪ Double Duty Money Back Guarantee
Program: CDCATLITDO P.O. Box 426013, Del Rio, TX 78842-6013

Oh wow. How random. Yeah, same address.

I wonder why in the world they'd choose such a small town to use? Seriously! I would have thought they'd use a large city. Guess they're trying to support small border towns?

Thanks, Julie!

I found a report on Ripeoff.com about another Rebate Center located here, at a POBox also starting in 426. Something seems odd to me about this. It doesn't sit well. I think I may try to contact the company and inquire more.

That should be rip not ripe.

It seems Calphalon, AutoZone and a few others use the exact same address 426008. Interesting.

I'd say it's just a generic rebate center that handles whoever pays them to do their rebates. I'm interested to see what you find out, though.

I had to think about it. Don't feel too bad.
